Guided by Valentina Fisichella and Giorgio Caimi himself, who represents the second generation of Caimi, now celebrating its 75th year, our students gained invaluable insights into the company’s evolution and its role in shaping the future, as well as conceptual and operational aspects about the exhibition and its sustainable layout, designed by Matteo Vercelloni.
Students were led through two tunnels designed to evoke a range of sensory experiences that can be normally felt in a domestic space and workplace, from noise, disorientation, visual and auditory bewilderment to silence and isolation, finally perceiving a balance and peaceful sensation in the last chamber of the installation. This synesthetic journey, mirroring the complexities of our present reality, culminated in an open area dedicated to envisioning the future of the company and industry itself. Here, the importance of ongoing research and development was underscored, emphasizing the pursuit of ambitious yet ethic goals for greater environmental and social sustainability.
