Among the multitude of installations that flooded the city’s center and suburbs, our students were able to visit the wonderful Mario Cucinella Architects installations, exploring, through the support of MCA professionals who realized the very installations, the intricacies of sustainable design, each one a testament to creativity, innovation, and sustainability.
In the courtyard of the historic newspaper Corriere della Sera headquarters at Solferino 28 they visited "Urban Mining. Design, Dismantle, Disseminate", an impressive installation tackling the topic of the future city from a regenerative point of view, starting from a simple, humble, and "everyday" object: the vegetable crate. A provocative work to rethink the way of building and designing our cities and our lives, aiming at self-regeneration, revitalizing materials and reusing them, in line with the design for disassembly (DfD) theory.
