Post Carbon team met with experts of the Dubai Municipality on May 3rd at the Heritage House in Al Shindagha, Dubai Creek. The meeting was one of the public appointments organized during the field trip made by the team, lead by Andrea Rossi, to achieve a broader understanding of the Climate, the Culture, the Society and the Economy of a Region that is at the center of their studies for the Project Track “Post Carbon Architecture”.
Future Living Emirati is the heading of a research project that aims at exploring the possibilities of new housing models for the next generations of Emirati families. Dr. Eman Alassi and Arch. Maryam Mudhaffar have welcomed the SOS delegation and presented the projects that the Architectural Heritage Department is currently carrying on.
SOS team has presented the WIP of their research and shared with the Dubai colleagues their visions for the achievement of a more sustainable future in the UAE. The meeting has allowed to identifying shared areas of research, including the Environmental Analysis of Buildings and Urban Sites that are currently considered for listing within “Modern Heritage” initiative.
