To Edward Burtynsky:
On the 12th and 13th of September “Kaboom” Festival by MC A – Mario Cucinella Architects and SOS – School Of Sustainability successfully took place in Bologna. Many citizens and other people from the surrounding regions came to visit our pavilion, took a tour of the exhibition, joined our creative labs, but also watched documentaries and panels about Circular Economy experiences, from Community Empowerment initiatives to Innovative Entrepreneurship projects.
During the event, our SOS and MC A staff, our technical partners and representatives of the local government contributed actively to the Festival’s fulfillment, from the construction site to the event organization, helping us to promote through direct interaction with visitors our positive message of cultural change.
That said, we do believe that Kaboom festival achieved successful results thanks to team spirit that was not only locally based, but also ranged within international boundaries thanks to the precious collaboration with you and your staff of “Edward Burtynsky Photography”. Your enthusiasm in joining our cause and the cooperation the weeks before the event was probably the most ambitious part for our project.
Therefore, we want to express our gratitude for sharing with us some inspiring shots from “The Anthropocene Project” that were hosted in our open-air exhibition at Piazza dell’Unità public square in Bologna. We strongly believe that the presence of these prestigious pieces of art surely contributed to the final success of the Festival.
We hope that you will continue to stand by our side in this project for future occasions.
Thank you so much for the role you played alongside MC A and SOS.
Sincerely,
MC A – Mario Cucinella Architects, SOS – School Of Sustainabilty & Kaboom staff
