Intro

The lab is designed to allow participants (students, recent graduates and/or architecture, design and engineering enthusiasts) to create an object starting from recycled materials in the Freitag style.

The School

SOS – School of Sustainability is a post graduate program  founded by Mario Cucinella in 2015. SOS  Master’s Program integrates education, research and practice within sustainable architecture and urban design.

The full-time course is characterized by the opportunity to provide the framework where this expertise can be applied, in an integrated way, to real projects, in collaboration with MC A professionals as well the SOS industrial partners.

Objectives

SOS workshop aims to convey to participants the importance of sustainability and circular economy within the design professions from a practical perspective.

SOS, together with the Freitag team, a leading company in the circular economy, is organizing a workshop to raise awareness of the reuse of waste materials, creating unique, recycled and, just like the tarpaulins themselves, resistant and waterproof pieces.

Theme

F-AKER is a tool that enables F-ans, F-riends and Newbies to create their own FREITAG Fake Product by selecting the pieces of tarp and assembling the components during the lab.

All F-AKER products have a function, don’t have any sewing work involved and are not available for sale, you are the only one who can create and own them.

Application

Sign up via the form below. If selected you will receive an email of acceptance as a confirmation of your participation.

Application will be assessed on the proved interest in circular economy and sustainability together wit the willingness to contribute to spread these topics. The participation in the workshop is free. Limited spots are available.
